Our Story
IVIS didn't begin as a school — it began as a conviction. Here's how understanding the times became a curriculum.
Where We Come From
Issachar Vision International Schools was birthed 19 years ago (2007) by our Proprietress, Rev. (Mrs.) Stellamaris Ajetomobi, out of a burden to provide safe, godly care for children — the burden of creating a safe environment for children, spiritually and academically, away from drugging babies or forcing them to sleep. It is an institution of The Men of Issachar Vision Inc., a Christian organisation whose calling is awakening and missions — helping the Church, and the community around it, understand the times and know what to do.
That same charge, drawn from 1 Chronicles 12:32, is where our school's name and motto come from. What began as a crèche in the Children's Church grew step by step into reception, nursery, and today a fully accredited primary and secondary school — raising children who are both academically excellent and spiritually grounded, Godly and Goodly.
Today, IVIS is proud to offer Common Entrance, BECE, Junior NECO, WAEC and NECO examinations on-site, with excellent academic results and students gaining immediate admission after graduation. Passionate, qualified educators, a School Management platform that keeps every parent in the loop, and a culture where understanding, applied consistently, really does give an edge.
Every Morning
Before timetables begin, IVIS gathers — a short, unhurried moment of devotion, values and shared purpose that sets the tone for everything that follows. It's a small routine, but it's the clearest picture of who we are: a school that teaches character before it teaches content.
Every graduate leaves IVIS grounded in strong Christian character, sound morals and rigorous academic training — fully equipped to understand their times and know what to do with them.
We see a community of IVIS graduates — vibrant, skilful and principled — shaping classrooms, boardrooms and congregations across Nigeria and beyond, carrying the same discernment they were raised on at Onile-Aro.
